The Lake District
My friends Steve from Steven McDonald Photography and Mick of Mick Merriott Photography recently visited the lakes for a Jolly good walk, bit of food and to test out our camera skills. We visited Ambleside where we parked and roamed the nearby hill tops. On route we got to see Rydal Caves, an array of stunning vistas and ended overlooking Windermere before descending back down to the roadside and back to the car. Here we made our way to the pub to enjoy some nice earned Lakes style grub.
This was my first time to the lakes with my camera and I can't believe i've left it to long to do this. I urge anyone who fancies a great walk to see some stunning views to take this route as its relatively easy going and takes around 4 hours to do. I especially encourage anyone who is into photography or videography to do this as the results are astounding and its a great way to learn and develop (always made better with a tripod - I left mine at home so this really tested my hand holding skills).
I haven't filmed any weddings in the Lake District yet but this has thoroughly got me keen on pursuing this area - anyone who is looking for a videographer should give me a shout as i would be happy to offer a discount for my first one.
Have a Jolly good day peoples and see you in the Lakes soon!
