Covid in 2021
We are amidst a global pandemic. The detrimental effects of this to the wedding industry are huge and has caused so much devastation, upset and uncertainty for everyone who is part of this industry and those planning to get married. Because of this, it has become necessary to include a COVID-19 policy to both protect business and client. Unfortunately, the pandemic has resulted in a whole array of rules, regulations, guidelines and laws which appear to be fluent and change depending on the situation and status of the virus at the time. In line with this I aim to keep my clients as protected as possible and will always try to keep you happy but there may be some occasions beyond all control where this cannot happen.
I’ve been asked a lot of questions in relation to weddings, guest numbers, rescheduling, cancelling, financial security etc but all I can advise is this – do what you feel is right for you! Go with your gut. If you feel like you want to just get married as this is the most important aspect, then, rules permitting, do it, and have the full day or party later when this chaos has subsided. If you think you want to wait and hope for the best then reschedule – doing this as far in advance as possible is your best bet to ensure all your providers are available for your venues new date. To me, being married would be the most important aspect but as I say, you need to do what is right for you. Weddings cost a fortune and everyone has their own wants and needs so go with what you believe and want.
I can say I have been involved in the smallest wedding I have ever seen where only the bride and groom got married with their children and can honestly say it was so beautiful, intimate and will always be remembered to me as a very special day. I was honoured to have been booked to do this and if you do decide to go ahead with a restricted guest number then you can make this day your own and have the film to show those who could not attend. Alternatively, if you think this would not be for you then I could not advise more against it and suggest holding out.
I have emailed all of my clients, both present and future my new covid policy which aims to offer some clarity and comfort for my couples in this ever unceretain and awful time. It will need to be a fluid policy which changes with new legislation, guidelines and policies that may be enforced but for any changes i will be in communication with you all and never leave you out. Should you need more information or have any questions at all just drop me a message.
In brief, if your wedding needs to be rescheduled due to covid then i will reschedule you. Im i’m not free i’ll offer you my 2nd shooter who will film just as i would and i’ll edit in my usual style so there is absolutely no detriment to you or if not a full refund of any balances paid. If you would like to know more or want to see my full T&C’s please email me here.
I wish all of my couples all the luck in the world for their wedding plans, whether you are due to get married, early or late this year or even next. It’s a tersting time for everyone and as a small business owner, I apprecoiate all of your loyalty and understanding.
Be jolly good to each other.
